The output voltage of analog cartridges has a wide range from about 0.2mV to about 5mV, but it is still very small. For this reason, it is extremely important to use high-purity, high-quality conductors for lead wires to transmit pure signals. About a quarter of a century ago, at the dawn of the cable boom, Ortofon announced the 7N LW1 and 8N LW10, which had a tremendous effect on sound quality and improved conductor height not only within the lead wire but also throughout the entire audio cable. It has become an epoch-making product that brings about purification and diversification of types. The current LW series, which is the successor to this model, uses 3 pure silver wires of Φ0.26 mm and 16 silver-plated copper wires of Φ0.1 mm, producing an extremely clear sound with a sparkle unique to silver. We have a total of 4 types of lineup including 800S.
*The terminal of the lead wire is designed to have the same diameter as the terminal to which it is attached, or to be slightly tighter, to prevent it from falling off or contact failure during playback. If the terminal of this wire is too tight to the terminal of the cartridge or head shell and it is difficult to install, please adjust it accordingly.
